Lumpsum Calculator
A lumpsum calculator projects what a single investment made today could become, compounded annually at an assumed rate. It is the simplest of these tools and the one where the assumed rate matters most, because there are no later instalments to average out a bad start.
A long-run assumption, not a promise. Markets do not deliver a constant rate.

What this assumes
Every calculator here states what it took for granted. A result whose assumptions are hidden is not worth much.
- Growth is compounded once a year at the rate you set.
- Nothing is added or withdrawn along the way.
- No exit load, transaction cost or tax is deducted.
How to use it
- Enter the amount you have to invest now.
- Set the number of years you can leave it alone.
- Try the rate a few percent lower to see how sensitive the result is.
Illustrative only. Not a projection, not a guarantee, and not investment advice.
Common questions
Is a lumpsum better than a SIP?
Neither is universally better. A lumpsum puts every rupee to work immediately, which helps if markets rise from here and hurts if they fall. A SIP spreads the entry price. Which suits you depends on whether the money is already in hand and how you would react to an early fall.
What about a large amount I want to phase in?
That is a systematic transfer, and the honest way to model it is somewhere between these two tools. Talk to us rather than relying on either calculator alone for a large sum.
A number is not a plan.
